Eval FAQs
-
No, the purpose of the diagnosis confirmation is specifically to diagnose or rule out ADHD and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder. If I believe that you may benefit from further evaluation regarding an additional diagnosis I will provide you with referrals.
-
An ADHD or Autism diagnosis requires ruling out many other diagnoses and a lot of nuance is necessary when considering the diagnosis. If another session is needed, additional assessment tools will be used in order to provide you with the most accurate diagnosis. Neurodivergent often presents a little differently for everyone so it requires a thorough assessment process.

I am in-network with Premera Blue Cross and First Choice Health. All other plans will be private pay. However, you can check with your insurance to see if they provide out of network reimbursement. I can then provide you with a superbill to send into insurance. The ADHD evaluation should be covered by insurance. The Autism and evaluation for both ADHD and Autism will have several sessions covered by insurance but the document fee of $150 will not be covered.

So glad you asked!
I understand that life happens and unplanned things come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule your diagnostic confirmation you must cancel before 48 hours of your appointment. All other following appointments require a 24 hour notice in order to not be charged the full appointment fee.
If you need to cancel, it is up to you to reschedule your appointment(s). You have 30 days to reschedule your cancelled appointment(s) within your package. If you schedule after the 30 days, the full fee for the package will again be required.

I specialize in diagnosing adult women (18+). It is common for women to be undiagnosed with ADHD due to the fact that many of their symptoms often aren’t the stereotypical ones that we often think of.
I also do assessments for adults but you must be 18 or older.

In the state of Washington, Licensed Mental Health Counselors can diagnose Autism. However, additional training (which I have done) is needed in order to accurately diagnose. A psychologist often does what is called a neuro-psych evaluation which consists of lengthy tests and reports. This isn’t required for a diagnosis but can be helpful in understanding your whole brain and how it works.
