Hello!

Meet Adrienne

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH61498822) in the state of Washington. I received my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School. I am an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider.

I have 5+ years of pre and post graduate experience working with ADHD clients in both in-patient and out-patient settings. I received extensive training on ADHD while working at the Hallowell Todaro ADHD Center. I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult.

When I’m not at the office you can find me: skiing and hiking in the Cascades, surfing the Washington coast, soaking up snuggles with my pup Alaia and sewing various apparel projects.

Meet Alaia

I am a Belgian Malinois mix and I sometimes visit clients at the office. If you are in need of a cuddle or some warm toes, I am your girl. My favorite things are: getting my giant ears scratched, popcorn and long walks in the mountains.

I have passed the Canine Good Citizen test.

Approach

My technique is grounded in relational psychodynamic theory with a systems lens. Psychodynamic theory is based on the belief that relationships shape us, harm us, and heal us. Throughout the course of therapy we will explore emotions experienced in the present moment between client and therapist, what is happening in the here-and-now, responses felt within the body, formative relationships such as family of origin, and unconscious motivations. In addition, I find it valuable to do this work using a systems lens, meaning we will also consider ways we have been shaped by the larger social systems we live in.

When appropriate, I will draw from trauma theory, attachment theory, psychoanalysis, CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, HAES (Health at Every Size) Approach, feminist and multicultural theory.
